ALICE Software Service GmbH has published the article “ALICE – The Internet as the Driving Force of Structural Change in the Insurance Industry” in the September 2006 issue of the german trade magazine for risk and capital management “Assekuranz Compact”:

"The Internet community has an annual growth of 18% and more than 1 billion users worldwide. Cyberspace has become part of our “natural” environment. Internet generations grow up in the digital age. Their media preferences determine their communication habits as well as their behavior as (potential) customers.

This means that insurance companies must face the challenge of profound structural change. Deregulated insurance markets (e.g. in Germany, France or Great Britain) reflect the changes in the product policies. One thing also needs to be pointed out; insurance is not only risk protection but also an information product ..."
